CHAPTER MEETINGSThe chapter meets on the third Wednesday of each month from September through May, unless otherwise stated. Each regular meeting of the chapter includes devotion, patriotic exercises, a message from the President General and at least five minutes of National Defense. CHAPTER ACTIVITIESThese are examples of the ways the Amelia Island Chapter supports the NSDAR Objectives.
Historical Preservation:
Supporting the Marking of the Revolutionary War Site on Amelia Island, Florida.
Researching, typing and indexing records for placement in the NSDAR Library in Washington, DC, the FSSDAR collection at the Orlando Public Library in Orlando, Florida, the Florida State Archives, and the Amelia Island Genealogical Society collection at the Fernandina Beach Public Library.
Celebration of Constitution Week Luncheon and the George Washington Birthday Luncheon with other chapters in northeast Florida.
Participating in the local Veterans Day Parade dressed in patriotic attire.
Participating in a variety of events honoring the George Washington Bicentennial, November, 1999 - 2000, within our schools and community.
